President Buhari’s wife, Aisha, has arrived Cedacrest where the president’s son, Yusuf is being treated after sustaining injury to his limbs and head on Tuesday, December 26.
The president’s son was said to be out riding with a friend when the incident happened.
“Yusuf was trying to overtake his friend when he suddenly veered off the road and skidded. He lay there unconscious for a while before the first lady was alerted. “She ordered that he be immediately rushed to Cedarcrest Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. We are more concerned about the head injury than the fractures. As I speak to you, Yusuf is unconscious,” a source had said.
NAIJ exclusively gathered that Aisha came in with a couple of security officials in a black SUV. She was dressed in a traditional attire and a shawl.
The hospital was littered with police officers while Aisha went upstairs after speaking to a hospital official.
The president’s wife was at the second floor when NAIJ reporter visited the hospital.
“There are quite a number of presidential villa officials here. Some dressed in black suits others in traditional attire,” NAIJ.com reports.
Patients are not allowed to drive in to the hospital, the hospital security dressed in all black and face caps nicely tell motorists to park outside.
One of the security men while telling our reporter not to drive in said: “Madam please can you drop and walk inside so the driver find a space outside to park.” When asked why, he simply replied: “No space inside ma,” he said.
Also, while trying to source news of the president’s son, the front desk officer (a lady) told our reporter she could make inquiry on any matter from the desk but when asked about Yusuf’s matter she said the medical director is in a meeting and she was not sure how long the meeting would take.
Meanwhile, while NAIJ’s reporter was busy trying to get news of Yusuf Buhari, the wife of the Senate President, Toyin Saraki walked in with her security detail.
We also noted that activities inside the hospital was normal, as there was nothing dramatic but for the presence of security officials and police van just outside the gate of the hospital.
it was earlier reported that the presidency denied report that Yusuf Buhari was flown out of the country to Germany for medical treatment.
Garba Shehu denied the report saying it was not true and that the president’s son still remains in Nigeria.
We had reported that the president’s son was involved in an accident in Abuja on Tuesday, December 26, and is receiving treatment at Cedacrest hospital.
