I don’t know why AMVCA omitted most of you – Kunle Afod says, remembers late Nollywood actors [VIDEO]


Popular Nigerian actor, Kunle Afod has taken to social media to celebrate some Nollywood legends who have passed on over the past few years.

Kunle Afod took to Instagram to state that the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) event omitted most of the late actors names for reasons best known to them.


Remembering them nonetheless, the Yoruba Movie Star shared a video collage with some of the late actors photos.

Some of the actors in the video are Racheal Oniga, Lari Williams, Dejo Tunfulu, Saint Obi, Orisabunmi, Baba Suwe, Osmond Gbadebo, Alafin Oro, Tafa Oloyede, Moji Olaiya, Adebayo Faleti, Murphy Afolabi among others.

Kunle Afod captioned:

AMVCA Omitted most of them yesterday for reasons best known to them. 
But we remember you and your works speak for you

Minutes ago, Nollywood Veteran Actor, Prince Adewale Adeyemo was reported dead. The Yoruba movie actor passed on this morning, Monday, May 22, 2023 after a brief illness.

According to Kunle Afod who broke the sad news, he prayed that God comforts his family and colleagues.

Sharing a photo of the deceased, Kunle Afod wrote:

God you know best
RIP Prince Ademola Adeyemo
He passed on early hour of today after a brief illness..
God will comfort all his family friends and colleagues.”

In 2021, the veteran actor, Adeyemo was diagnosed with damage in his lung, liver, and kidney. He asked the public for funds and was able to undergo a successful surgery.

Kemi Korede, Itele, and other actors have taken to social media to mourn the veteran.
