A video of Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyorin singing with his crew at the collapsed Ikoyin building has surfaced online.
This comes a few days after a 21 storey building under construction collapsed off Alexander way, Gerrard Road, in the Ikoyi area of the state.
On Tuesday, the death toll from the collapse hit 14, and 9 persons sustained injury and are in hospital.
The incident has embarrassed the Lagos State Government, which has been making moves to attract foreign investors.
However, a video shared by one Gbenro Adegbola captured the moment Yinka Alaseyori, the developer and many others were singing and praising God
According to Gbenro Adegbola, the developer and the gospel singer held a prayer meeting a few days before the building collapsed.
Gbenro Adegbola: This apparently a few days ago. A prayer meeting on the rooftop of the uncompleted tower. The developer himself in white

Taking to her Instagram page, Alaseyori noted that the video was not a recent one and she was not there at the time the building collapsed.
Appreciating people who checked on her to know if she is safe, the singer also urged them to pray that the rescue team gets more people out of the rubble.
