“Let Your Husbands Suck Your Breasts During Pregnancy” – Lagos Chief Nursing Sister To Women, gives reasons

Roseline Oladimeji has encouraged pregnant women to permit their husbands to suck their breasts as preparation for breastfeeding after delivery.

This advice was given by the Chief Nursing Sister at a sensitisation programme marking the 2021 World Breastfeeding Week organized by Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre, Festac Town, Lagos, on Thursday, August 5.

Roseline posited;

“Allow your husband to suck your breasts during pregnancy. Apart from bonding, it will help the nipples to be out and make it easier for your baby to latch on. You can also rub vaseline on your nipples at night before going to sleep. It helps to soften it,”

She stressed that the sucking of the breasts by their husbands prepares their breasts to prevent lactation problems after delivery.

“It is still breast milk,” she added.

Meanwhile, A nursing mother has channeled her predicament to life coach and relationship expert, Joro Olumofin over her husband’s gradual penchant for her breast milk.

The woman whose identity was shielded in the publication shared by Joro, said her husband once experimented with gari and her breastmilk and now the dude is overly inclined towards what seems like his new perfect combination.

Her post read in part; “I put to bed some months back and husband drinks my milk and he’s now addicted. I have started squeezing for him and my baby.

I gave birth to a beautiful healthy child. My husband has been good. He doesn’t allow me move a finger at all.

It started one night, he was hungry and asked me if there was milk for garri and groundnut and I said no. I jokingly said he should use my bre*st mik.

Jokingly o. Just joke. I slept off. In the morning I woke up and saw the milk in the fridge reduced.

I asked him and he said he used it with the milk and groundnut and he loved it that I should squeeze more for him. I thought he was joking. He wasn’t. I did reluctantly and he has been addicted to it.
