    #EndSARSMemorial: Falz, Mr Macaroni join car procession at Lekki Tollgate (videos)

    In memory of the October 2020 EndSARS protest that turned bloody youths have taken to the Lekki Toll gate for a car procession.

    Nigerian singer, Falz and Instagram comedian, Mr Macaroni who were front liners during the protest against police brutality last year, took to their respective social media pages on Tuesday night to announce the procession.

    The car procession scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 20 at Lekki Tollgate has started and the duo have joined other Nigerian youths at the venue to mark one year anniversary of the #EndSARS protest.

    In videos from the ongoing #EndSARS protest memorial that surfaced online youths in their numbers have turned up at the tollgate with their cars. They are seen waving Nigerian flags from inside the vehicles and honking the horns while singing solidarity songs.

    Okechukwu Peter, one of the EndSARS protesters at the Lekki tollgate has been arrested by the police in Lagos, IgbereTV reports.

    His phone was reportedly seized by the police. “Let the whole world watch what they are doing to us”, he screamed as officers took him away.

    It was also a dramatic moment as some protesters fight over undisclosed sum handed over to one of them by a Nigerian artiste.

    Vanguard gathered the singer who came around to felicitate with protesters who are out to mark the one year anniversary of the ENDSARS movement.

    On getting the money from the artiste, a yet-to-be identified protester flee as others ran after him to get their portion of the money

    The Nigerian police force fired tear gas at the Lekki tollgate where celebrities and youths are holding a memorial car procession in Lagos State, Channels TV reports.

    The procession is organised to mark the one-year anniversary of the #EndSARS protests and honour victims of police brutality.

    Although some arrests have been made by the police at the scene, the youths were not deterred as they held hands and marched with their fists raised up.
