Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage sadly lost her father earlier this year in late July. The singer took to Instagram to announce the sad news and was met with support and condolences from everybody including her fans and colleagues in the industry.

Now, weeks after his passing, it’s time to finally lay her dad to rest and in true Tiwa Savage form, she pulled out all the stops. One looking at the event would not on first glance know that it is a funeral. From the lavish looks to the money that was being sprayed on the dance floor, the event looked more like a wedding reception than a funeral which I’m guessing was the plan here. It was moreso a celebration of life than it was a funeral.

It was an asoebi event and so guests only had to customize the fabrics they had to their desired taste before coming. For me, asoebi events like this are a lot more interesting to judge because everybody is practically wearing the same pattern, the major difference is in how each person tailored their own to fit them.
