David, the son of estranged couple, Daniel Ademinokan and Doris Simeon, is 12 today and he has received showers of messages of how much he is loved from not just his parents but also his step mum, Stella Damasus.

As a matter of fact, the messages from both his mum, Doris and step mum, Stella almost seem like they are in a competition for the best mother figure in his life.

Recall  that the boy, David was taken away to the US by his dad and movie director, Daniel Ademinokan to live with him and his new wife, Stella Damasus when he was just two years.

He however let him be reunited with his mum, Doris Simeon, again in 2018 after series of online attacks from fans.

Interestingly, Stella Damasus, his step mum also shared photos of the celebrant showering him with kind words and pouring out her much she loves him! She however turned off comments from the posts to avoid being bashed by critics.

“How time flies. I can’t believe you are 12 already. Love you too too much boo boo.”

She further wrote in another post “Happy birthday to the most handsome young man I know. As you turn 12 today, may God’s light continue to shine on you. May you continue to be the star and the best in all you do. You make parenting so easy. A gentle, obedient, sweet son. I am so proud of you. We all love you. Your daddy, your mummy, your sisters and I. God bless you my son.”

And then shared a video of him, herself and Daniel Ademinokan, having fun to show how happy they are.

Daniel Ademinokan on the other hand wrote “Meeeeeen!!! Feels like this big man here was born just yesterday. It’s as if I slept and woke up and he just turned 12. Happy Birthday to you DAVID “The Great” ADEMINOKQN. I am so so so so so happy and proud of the young man you have grown to be, and I look forward to the Amazing Man you will become.
May your days forever be filled with joy, laughter, sunshine, hope, grace, peace, testimonies, blessings and wisdom.

May your light continue to shine and may your life always mirror the goodness of God. I pray that your smile continues to be infectious & your laughter contagious as always.

Happy birthday son. This lockdown ain’t stopping the party happening up in here!!! PS: A word of advice son, don’t stop loving fried plantain o! The day you do, me and you are gonna have problems, eh!!!”

Daniel Ademinokan, a Nollywood movie director, was married to actress Doris Simeon and the union produced a son. He however left Doris, travelled abroad and put up with Stella, a widow of late Jaiye Aboderin, who had two daughters for the deceased.

Though the divorce and taking her son back was fraught with much drama, Doris in an Interview said “I can’t say what actually happened. I did not suspect if he was dating any woman or not because we were the best of friends. I trusted him too. When the problem started, I was begging him for reconciliation. I am an orphan with nobody to run to but his family members, who also tried to intervene. At a point they fought with him because he stopped picking their calls, even his pastor.

Before the separation, I suggested counselling but he promised to turn around for good. He did not. He would leave the house for some days and would not pick my calls. He also accused me of nagging and policing him around. At a point, he came back and told me it was lack of money that caused the problems.

As a good wife, I suggested we pray about it. He told me one day that he wanted to go and see his mother and took our only son with him (the union produced just a child). I didn’t suspect anything because they usually went out together. That was the last time I saw of my then 2-year-old son (year 2000) He never said what the problem was. It was a normal hassle between couples.”
