Fire razes Ajimobi’s wife’s Grandex Supermarket in Ibadan (photo, video)

Grandex, a superstore located in Bodija area of Ibadan which is said to belong to the wife of former Oyo state governor, Florence Ajimobi, has been hit by fire.

The fire incident occurred on Sunday, November 8, and spread to the main stores, the Nation report.

Although officials of the Oyo State Fire Service have arrived the scene of the incident, efforts are still ongoing to curtail the inferno.

According to an eyewitness, operatives of the Joint Security Task Force Team, Operation Burst were also on the ground to help the fire-fighters and prevent possible looting.

Mr Ajimobi was also said to have arrived at the scene in the company of some friends and sympathisers to monitor the situation

Fire guts Ajimobi wife’s Grandex Supermarket. .. . Grandex Supermarket in Bodija, Ibadan, was gutted by fire Sunday afternoon. The store is owned by Florence, wife of late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi. No casualty or injuries as at press time. The inferno reportedly started from the back office and spread to the main store. The cause is unknown yet. However, Oyo State Fire Service are at the scene.
