Dino Melaye, a former lawmaker representing Kogi West, has thanked the people of his community, Aiyetoro Gbede in Kogi state, for preventing looters from invading his residence.
In a tweet by the former senator on Tuesday, October 27, Melaye said the hoodlums, who have been wreaking havoc and looting government and private individual properties, stormed his house in an attempt to plunder.
Melaye, however, said the hoodlums were prevented, all thanks to the “community efforts, Okun youths and women.”
The flamboyant former senator also thanked the security operatives for preventing what could have been a huge personal loss and damage should the house be looted.
In his words:
“Community efforts stop hoodlums from attacking my house in Aiyetoro Gbede. I thank Okun Youths and Women. Security Agencies did well too. Above all I thank God Almighty.”
