Royalty laced with affluence is sweet, most especially when it’s blessed with opulence and splendor. It soothes body and soul. But for Zaynab Otiti Obanor, the ex wife of HIM Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, she is indeed an epitome of royalty with blue blood flowing in her veins.

Ooni of Ife marriage

During her days as the heartthrob of stylish Ife monarch, she commanded respect at all strata of life. Her gait, composure, charming smile and endearing persona, earned her public acceptance. At the sight of her at any public function, paparazzi flashed just to catch a glimpse of her ravishing beauty.

When she announced her breakup with the Ooni of Ife, it generated mixed reactions as different tongue wagged at her over such decision. Many wondered why she decided to leave such glitz and glamour in the house of Oduduwa.

Despite all the criticisms at the wake of her divorce with Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi, Olori Wuraola has been able to grow past the public shame and ridicule for leaving the second-in-command to the gods. Often times, divorcing a King especially that of higher status in the Yorubaland is somewhat attributed to a public insult to the monarch.

Please refrain from criticizing those who give their time & money to charitable causes in other countries like Sierra Leone. Charity knows no geographic boundaries. If you're not a part of the solution, you're the problem. My Initiative, #Forward has donated over $150,000 rebuilding and funding local orphanages and training centers in Lagos and Benin since February 2017. One of my orphanages, Sacred Heart Hospice in Surulere is in need of more donors and volunteers. They are a home for marginalized and special needs children with autism and birth defects.◾ These amazing children also performed at my #OrphanAid Give Back Concert in February 2017 and were amongst recipients of the funds raised. Your generosity towards their care will go a long way. You truly haven't lived until you do something for someone who can not repay you. www.hoghospice.org Donate your resources directly to them.

As part of our support to the community during this COVID-19 Pandemic, the Queen Zaynab foundation (QZF)is donating 10,000 naira to 10,000 less privilege Nigerian families within the rural areas. We hope by providing the basic needs available to these individuals the ability to stay home and not be forced to go on the streets will be lessened. Proper hygiene, self preservation and isolation is important at this time to contain the spread of COVID-19. We are hopeful and prayerful that this pandemic will be over soon wirhout more casualties. This issue has shown that Nigerians have a sense of community as we have seen how able and good people have all come out over these last few weeks to render support to the affected and less fortunate. No individual can do it all but we can all collectively help those who will struggle to survive during this period. As we all look forward to better days ahead.
