A concerned Nigerian citizen recently took members of the internet community by surprise with his rather ingenious method of calling the attention of the authorities to some expansive potholes in the Ikeja area of Lagos state.
The man identified as Adedunmade who is also a lawyer by profession, shared a series of photos on popular micro blogging platform, Twitter, in which the potholes were captured alongside some plastic bottles of cola beverages paced by their edges.
Sharing the post, Adedunmade called on his followers to join him in celebrating the lives of the three large dents on the road.
“Please join me in celebrating the life of these 3 wonderful pot holes in front of Zenith Bank, Kudirat Abiola Way, Alausa, Ikeja. They keep getting bigger and deeper everyday,” he said.

Reacting to the post, some other concerned citizens expressed their worry over the state of the road and wondered if the government would heed the Adedunmade’s call.

potholes that you can count is that one pothole? there are several roads across the state that has been reduced to one lane due to its bad nature. I guess those one would deserve 'Trophy' not 'coke'

1. That bank pays taxes, it isn't their responsibility.
2. It only becomes their responsibility if they take it as a CSR.
3. Even when they wanna make it their CSR, the govt wont allow them cos they would have blocked 1 way to syphon funds.
U can now see why they can't fix it?

So sad. Unfortunately if this is what it takes to remove the veil/plug from eyes/ears of sanwo-olu and his "formidable" team and gingers them to address the bad and worsening state of roads all over Lagos, then it's worth it. Mr Governor has been all talk no action over this issue
