In a church sermon, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome spoke about the definition of men and women by God’s standards. According to him, the womenfolk was created by God for the sake of men. Hence, they were not part of his original plan.
Oyakhilome also said that when a man marries a woman, she is supposed to come under his authority as the man is the master in a marriage. This sermon given by Pastor Chris has generated lots of controversies.
My mum sent me this saying “I know this will upset you, the pastor is not normal”.
I couldn’t agree more. The pastor and his congregation🤮🤮🤮 pic.twitter.com/eZdL8Fv1BV

In fact, the man of God is currently facing a lot of backlashes from Nigerians. Not many approve of his words; a whole more people have tagged his utterances as ‘misogynistic’. However, a few think his words are valid and true.
In light of the misgivings of Nigerians, Twitter has been lit abuzz with mixed comments directed at the pastor.
See some reactions below:
Someone said that Women were not in gods blueprint,
and when he finished creation everything was perfect, the moment he decided to create women boom…they started gossiping with snakes…..😂😂

Pastor Chris said the man is the master in a marriage and some christians are angry, arguing that they are equal partners.
Pastor Chris actually said it the way it’s in the bible…. and the Holy Qur’an.

Whatever Pastor Chris likes, let him say. My Madam is as much my master as I am hers. I am Baby Boying in my house. Come and beat me.

Pastor Chris isn't even one of my favourites but if you find an issue with what he said, you are a hypocrite or you lack understanding.
This isn't about gender equality. Man = Woman, but this is about family and home structure. Husband > Wife. It's not Chris, it's the Bible. 👇 pic.twitter.com/XNTxFiF3CP

The truth is Behind close doors this is how feminist keep their homes, they don't argue with their husband but they will come online to Make Noise and drag every body.
Today its Pastor Chris tomorrow may be Kumuyi.
Thank God Feminist are not even relevant anymore. https://t.co/6vNBUWdlF4

We can drag Pastor Chris for all we want. Conservative Christianity & Islam are sadly patriarchal, it is what it is.
Confusion is when the same people dragging Pastor today, also dragged Bob yesterday for 'surrendering his ROLE' to his fiancée, bcos she supported him financially.

It wasn't Pastor Chris that "said" that sir.
He simply emphasized what the Bible said.

Women, Husband means master. He's not an equal partner. He's your master.~ Pastor Chris
Please if you want to Criticize what Pastor Chris said in the video, come out with a scripture that says a woman is an equal partner. Don't just talk bullshit.
