The past few years in Nigeria has witnessed stakeholders in the entertainment industry getting involved in the political scene. Some of them simply lend their voices to their parties while others go as far as vying for office.
Superstar singer, Davido, also known as, David Adeleke, has been one who has proven to be very vocal when it comes to the political affairs of the country.
The singer was heavily in support of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who was the gubernatorial candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last Osun governorship election.
In a recent post on the Twitter platform, Davido, in his response to a particular user, subtly made his intention to become governor of his state known.
The user had queried the singer, asking why his uncle vied for the Osun governorship position, despite being a senator. Davido had in turn responded by saying he would explain when he becomes a governor.

Among the fans that had responded to the singer’s intention was a particular user who had mocked him by saying it was impossible for him to run as governor, as he started off politics on the wrong note.
The celebrity singer was quick to fire back at the user.
In another tweet, the musical act charged his fellow entertainers to come out and get involved in the political scene of the country. He reminded his colleagues that they were powerful and as such should not be swayed by the fear of kidnap and death threats.
