Actresses Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, and Jackie Appiah are among the top actresses Ghana has produced in the last two decades.
While their dominance in the movie scene, especially in the last 10 years, cannot be overstated, Yvonne, Jackie and Okoro have managed not to work together.
The three have actually not featured in the same movie in close to 10 years now though they are very close in private life.
But all that is about to change as the trio are set to reunite on set for a new movie project.
This was announced by Yvonne Nelson while promoting her latest movie, Sin City, in Takoradi.
The movie project will be one of the works of YN Productions, a production house owned by Nelson.
According to her, both Jackie and Okoro have agreed to take part in the new project and it will be happening in 2019.
“I have this wonderful script that I want to shoot soon this year. I actually have Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Okoro and myself on this project. I have already spoken to them. So yes we will be working this year,” Daily Guide quoted Yvonne to have said on Paragon FM.
It will be recalled that the last time the trio co-starred in the same movie was Frank Rajah’s 4play Reloaded which was released in 2010.
After that movie, Yvonne Nelson and Jackie Appiah both acted in ‘Sisters At War’ while Yvonne Okoro was also featured in ‘3 Some’ with Yvonne Nelson in 2011.
The new movie project, if it comes to fruition, will be good news for the fans of these three actresses who are not household names in Ghana only but also around Africa.
