Meanwhile, Senator Godswill Akpabio said he has left those who ”fraudulently orchestrated” his loss in the last National Assembly election to God for deserving punishment.
We reported that Akpabio, who represented Akwa Ibom North-west district in the 8th assembly, lost his re-election bid to the candidate of opposition party months after resigning as Senate minority leader following his defection to All Progressive Congress (APC).
Since then the senator has been at loggerhead with his former party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the legality status of his defection to the ruling party.
