Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh, has taken to social media to react to the news of ace photographer, Busola Dakolo’s case against COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo being dismissed by the court.
Earlier on, we reported the news of how a Federal High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja, has dismissed the sexual molestation case between Timi Dakolo’s wife and photographer, Busola and the popular Abuja pastor.
Barely hours after the report broke out, Dikeh took to her Instagram page to celebrate what she may have perceived to be victory for the man of God who is the founder and head pastor of the church she worships at.
Sharing a photo of the controversial man of God, she simply captioned: “Glory #PB”
She also adviced the pastor to use the N1million feed people in IDP. see below
Her celebration comes as no surprise as Dikeh who is always known for airing her opinion on trending issues and also a humanitarian who fights for the right of people, remained quiet when the accusations were labeled against the man of God.
However, she eventually broke her silence when reports revealed Busola demanded for a clearly worded apology on the front pages of two national newspapers for seven consecutive days as well as a personal apology showing Biodun Fatoyinbo’s honest regret for his misdeeds. She also demanded for a N10 million cost of action fee.
The part of the demands which seemed to get Dikeh’s interest is the N10 million cost of action fee. In an Instagram post, the actress posted several laughing icons as she explained that money is the root of all evil.
However, reacting to the courts decision, Celebrity photographer Busola Dakolo has vowed to appeal the ruling of Justice O. A. Musa of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja dismissing her rape allegation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
MaDailyGIst reports that the rape case filed against pastor Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo was dismissed by an Abuja High Court.
Meanwhile, reacting to this Busola’s lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, declared in a statement to appeal the ruling of Justice O. A. Musa of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, following the case dismissal .
According to the statement: “We have received several calls after the ruling of the high court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting at Bwari this morning seeking our view on the decision of the court, hence, this statement.
“The court ruled that the matter is statute-barred because the events that crystallised to the cause of action took place 16 years ago and that the claimant Mrs. Busola Dakolo has only six years within which to seek redress in court in line with the statute of limitation.
“We are mindful of the decision as delivered by the court, presided over by the Hon. Justice A.O Musa.
“We are equally observant of the fact that the Court omitted to address the cause of action, the subject matter of the suit in determining whether it has jurisdiction to entertain the said matter.
“While we acknowledge the time of the court, we know in accordance with the Nigerian judicial system that the Court’s decision is not final as it is glaringly contestable.
“For all intent and purposes, having seen several sponsored misleading news reports in the media, we are duty-bound to state that the court has not and did not exonerate Biodun Fatoyinbo. As it stands, the substance of the matter has not received any judicial attention.
“Biodun Fatoyinbo through his lawyers has only argued that the court should not allow the matter to proceed to trial because it is an event that occurred long ago and hence out of time.
“We shall therefore in this circumstance approach a superior court to intervene for a better appreciation, and take a more expansive view of the suit considering that the subject matter is one that is novel in our clime.”
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to social media to react to it. Recall that the initial case was faced with mixed feelings from Nigerians. While many had supported Busola and castigated the pastor, others also slammed the supposed man of God who has faced similar accusations in the past from different women.
Well, after the new development Nigerians have reawakened the matter on social media. Some people blamed the justice system while others rejoiced that their ‘pastor’ has been vindicated in the eyes of the law.
