It is a common saying that God’s time is the best, and the statement often rings true especially when people who have been hoping for His favour finally become blessed.

Talented Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed, welcomed their first children together on December 21, 2018. The news was received with great joy by a number of Nigerians all over the world.

It should be known that the 41-year-old star had been the subject of mockery and ridicule by some people who felt she was incomplete because she did not have children of her own.

After the news of the birth of her twins went viral, several well-wishers took to social media to celebrate her, including gospel musician, Nathaniel Bassey. He even took his well wishes a step further seeing as he chose to slam those who had mocked the actress in the past.
He quoted a verse from Lamentation 3:37 in the bible that reads: “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?”
Many people saw his post as a jab against a self-acclaimed man of God, Prophet Olagoroye Faleyimu, who had claimed in the past that Funke would not be able to deliver a child except she gets married to a gateman or someone unpopular.

The ‘prophet’ had further explained that she would need to embark on special prayers before she can conceive. Thankfully his prophecy did not come to pass.
