AraPopular talking drummer Ara has come out to lament on how the recession has affected her career

The word recession is now very familiar to Nigerians. Due to our crashing economy, more and more people are cutting back on trivial things. Those who usually threw lavish birthday parties year after year with superstar musicians mounting the stage have suddenly realized that playing the CDs of the musicians is the same thing as having the so called star singing live.

Of course the musicians have taken note of this and have started devising ways to ensure that they are still called for shows and live parties.

Take popular female talking drummer Ara for example. She told Punch recently: “The demand rate has dropped and performing fees also. In fact, in order not to lose some of our existing and prospective clients, we have had to reduce our fees these days.
