Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) addresses President Muhammadu Buhari.
The party is in a state of alarm over a agreement initiated by the All Progressive Congress (APC), to sack Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti state governor.
The governor who has been in a continuous clash with APC lawmakers acquired an authorized court order that banned the members from beginning the impeachment procedure.
Uche Secondus, the acting chairman of the PDP, addressed a group of elected legislators at a party gathering in Port Harcourt on Juna 1, Monday.
He noted “that the Ekiti lawmakers “are currently camped at a location in Osun in preparation to be moved to Ekiti.”
Thenceforth, Secondus said the PDP believed it a criminal act if the Ekiti legislators are permitted to move forward with their purposes.
The acting chairman asked the party to stop throwing blame at one another and instead for them to all together head the task of rebuilding the PDP.
Secondus noted that the party intends to rise its research and communication units so that it can be a good opposition.
David Mark, Senate President said that with unity between party members and cooperation between leadership of the party, PDP will be better able to give the ruling APC a tough fight.
It would be recalled that 19 APC lawmakers in the state House of Assembly have begun moves for impeachment proceedings against governor Fayose.
The lawmakers listed eight impeachable offenses against Fayose.
On his own turn Ekiti governor said the legislators should first impeach God.
