After the confident victory of the All Progressives Congress in the Adamawa governorship election, Atiku Abubakar took to social media with an important message.
Mohammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow was on April 12 declared the winner of the guber polls in the state. The APC candidate received 362,329 votes, twice as many as the SDP candidate.
Nigeria’s former vice president, who last year defected to the APC, expressed his joy over the outcome as he wrote on his Facebook page:
“Adamawa, our promise to bring our state back to the path of change has been fulfilled. Thank you for voting APC. Our new governor-elect has promised to fulfill his promises to us. #Change.”

After Muhammadu Buhari was declared winner of the March 28 presidential election, Atiku sent his hearty congratulations to the president-elect and thanked the incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan, for conducting “historic” polls in the country.
