A former national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) and former governor of Osun state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has described the victory of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari as a huge victory for democracy and for all Nigerians.
Prince Oyinlola, now a member of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a statement on Tuesday said the peaceful manner in which the change came to Nigeria showed the hand of God in the nation’s affairs.
He applauded Nigerians for giving their mandate to the APC and Buhari, while affirming that a new lease of life would soon come to Nigerians as soon as Buhari was sworn in.
Meanwhile, the people of Osun state came out en masse to celebrate the emergence of Buhari as Nigeria’s next president.
The Governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, his wife, Alhaja Sherifat Aregbesola and other members and supporters of the APC celebrated Buhari’s victory at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo, on Tuesday, March 31.
