A renowned Nigerian photographer and singer, TYBello, has shared unseen photos of Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan, tagging them “Buhari And Jonathan: A Beautiful Exchange”.

The pictures were taken on May 28, 2015, Thursday, as the then Aso Rock host showed the Aso Villa to the president-elect.

Read the powerful accompanying message and see the snaps below:

“In the last few days, I was honored to photograph really closely as Nigeria made its final transition from one government to the next. Away from the view of every one, as President Jonathan took President Buhari on a tour of the presidential villa, I witnessed something really Sacred: they were holding each others hands. It was a divine moment…Unguarded .. Side by side: Servants and Kings. Paving way and making way to and for a greener land.”

It would be noted that Buhari received the handover notes from Jonathan on the same day, May 28.

The two leaders were spotted together again on the next day, during the inauguration in Abuja.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan departed to his home state shortly after competing the formalities, while President Buhari went to the Aso Villa to welcome his first guests.
