Reputed to be the founding father of modern day stand-up comedy shows in Nigeria, Opa Williams is set to host the 20th anniversary of the famous comedy show, ‘Nite of a Thousand Laughs.’ The landmark edition is billed to hold on May 1, 2015 at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.
Comedy merchant, Opa Williams began the show as the first and only Nigerian stand-up comedy show in 1995 and after 16 years of running the show, he rested the brand in 2011.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show that began in 1995, the comedy show will feature wave making comedians including Gandoki, SeyiLaw, Acapella, Akpororo, Osama, Chuks D General and others while music acts for the event are Korede Bello, Lk Kuddy, Dj Ttb, Dj Kenny, Dj G-Funk and others.
Leading comedian and show host, Basketmouth will host the event.
