FIFA to pay $200m compensation to European clubs for World Cup


FIFA will pay European clubs $200 million compensation

The accord with the European Club Association could end demands for compensation for changing the dates of the 2022 Qatar World Cup to November-December.for players who take part in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, the governing body announced Friday.

The figure is substantially higher than the $70 million handed out to clubs around the world following the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
