A Lagos Island trader, Nnamdi Unagbu, has been arrested by the police and charged before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court for allegedly attacking a woman and injuring her on her breast during a fight over her dumping of dirt in front of his shop.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Koti Aoudohemba, said the suspect used a stick with nails to beat up the lady on March 9, 2015, at the Ebudola Market Balogun in Lagos Island.
Aoudohemba said the fight started when Unagbu got offended when the woman dumped some refuse near his shop and when he told her to remove them, she refused.
In the ensuing fight, he injured her on her breast and her hand.
Unagbu however pleaded not guilty to the charge and the Magistrate, Salam Matepo granted him bail in the sum of N10,000, while the matter was adjourned till April 1 for judgement.
